Eluxury.com is saying Goodbye

This will come as a shock to most of you. Online LVMH-owned e-tailer eLuxury.com will be closing its retail operation. eLuxury, known for high end designer handbags, including Louis Vuitton, will be transitioning its site into an online magazine focusing on luxury markets. The doors to the retail operation will close and a spokeswoman from LVMH claimed this transition is because many of the brands eLuxury sells have developed their own online presences. According to The luxe chronicles, there might be another reason : Despite having the kind of unprecedented access to some of the most desirable luxury and fashion merchandise in the world and the kind of financial heft and expertise only a luxury empire of LVMH’s magnitude can deploy, they never became the premiere destination for online luxury shopping they were once destined to become. The website sold brands like Louis Vuitton, Dior, Fendi and others. While it's sad to see eLuxury go, if you want to shop on the site, now is the time. The discounts are deep, the Dolce & Gabbana halter dress shown at right was $3,670 but is now $734. You can shop now through June 26.
