Matthew Williamson London Fashion Week Spring 2010

Dear Matthew Williamson, (whom I affectionately refer to as Mat-Man)
The fashion Gods have surely sent you to rescue me from continuous boredom. In another lifetime it is possible that we were twins because you clearly know me, my style, favorite color, and fabric combinations. Your Spring 2010 collection has rescued me from a sea of uniform fashions and I just wanted to say thank you. Some critics say your collection gave your glimpses of the old clubbing in Ibiza and Mat Man, I say that sounds like a blast to me.
Thanks and Bye- Your Twin,
Sari xoxo (Give me Fashion or Give me Death)

2009 Emmy Awards Red Carpet Delicious-ness

With this years Emmy Awards falling so close to the end of New York fashion week I was expecting to see more of 2010's upcoming trends displayed on the red carpet. While most stars kept it traditional with black, gold, and soft neutral colored gowns with classic draping, gathering, and Grecian details. I was however able to spot some immediate trends influences.
The first and maybe the largest trend I saw on the red carpet, was the one shoulder trend. Debra Messing is actually wearing two of the trends I spotted on the red carpet, the one shoulder detail as well as the red dress which we will get into later. Also notice the draping gather detail I mentioned earlier. Also seen below on Carrie Preston and Sigourney Weaver. Classic cuts with emphasis on the waist.
More shoulders baring it all.... All shades of red were a huge hit on the red carpet. From plunging necklines to crystal embellishment. One shoulder, off the shoulder, and complete with short sleeves.

Classic black will always be a safe choice at Prime time events. Still with shoulders being the sexy elegant focal point.

Other color trends included, an ocean of blues and shades of plum. Necklaces took a back seat as drop and chandelier earrings, bracelets, and baguette clutch bag helped to accessorize gown and give the extra over the top glamour.

My pick of the night would be Olivia Wilde. Her mint green chiffon embroidered Marchesa Spring 2010 gown with an illusion panel on the bodice is to die for! Great Choice of hair makeup gown and jewels!
