A Tribe Called Quest

For every moment it took me to think I wasn't in love with the current tribal trend equaled an additional thirty minutes of finding pieces that absolutely moved me. The more I thought about it the more it made sense. Tribal inspired pieces are everything I am, or at least everything I strived to be. Strong, bold, powerful, and full of intent. More important than that, these items symbolized a journey, told a story, and represented a people. Struggles, triumphant and unity displayed through art. Lets have a look at a few of my favorites;

1. Rich and Rebellious "Rio de Oro" Tribal Necklace
2. Nicole Romano at Marissa Collections
3. Banana Republic The Tribal Chainsis
4.Surevolution Gujarat Cuff
5. ASOS Wide Patterned Textured Cuff
6. Lanvin Necklace

Elisabetta! Elisabetta! Soy Italiana! Golden Globes Fashion Review

Its that time of year again, and award season continued last night with the 65th annual Golden Globes. Full of glitz and glam the red carpet was over flowing with this seasons hits miss, and nods to upcoming trends. Lets begin with my favorite looks of the night and continue to trend forecasting.

While for these ceremonies, Im am a huge fan of drama, dramatic, sparkly, flowing gowns with heavy beading I am also partial to sleek clean lines and avant garde modern looks. My most favorite look was worn by Kate Hudson. A Marchesa by Yuli white silk structured crepe gown. White platform shoes from Casadei, Stephen Russell jewels and glow courtesy of ARod.

Popular trends of the evening were, ruffles, metallic and jewel tones, shades of nudes peaches and blush and most popular purple.

Chanel Tattoos....I am soooo with it

This isnt the first time that we've seen tat's on the runway, Jean Paul Gaultier, Catherine Maladrino and Rodarte all showed up inked, but never quite like this. Chanel's take on tattoo's are everything you would expect from the brand. Body transfers in floral designs, beads and bangles, gave it a soft yet edgy feel. Available in March at boutiques and concessions, these are the new IT accessory of 2010
