H&M Conscious Collection Fall 2011

H&M' s Conscious Collection was inspired by the sweet romance of Swedish folklore, each piece in the collection is made with more sustainable materials like organic cotton or linen to recycled wool and organic hemp. Comprised of embroidered wool coats, lace blouses, floral printed dresses and shoes, as well as home decor. The Conscious Collection will be available in selected H&M stores from October 6th.
Below is the complete collection, I wish i had a big red marker and could just circle for you the pieces that I really love. I do feel most of them can be worked well in some way or another. For example, at first site I didn't like the floral print shoes, then after much thought I realized the shoes aren't my issue, i just don't love them paired with the floral dress as in the promo photos. However, could work well with the beige shorts and flower embroider cream sweater and chunky knit tights. I love all the blouses except the grey printed one, also the dress version in the same print and the shoe boots. I would also pass on the satin like clutch, and grey knit headpiece. Every single other piece I love and makes me excited for holiday season! The pieces are soft feminine and beautifully detailed.  From the metal embroidery on the structured jacket to the sleeve detail on the blouses. Just romantic.

MAC Posh Paradise Collection for Fall 2011

Succumb to temptation in a Paradise that invites taboo encounters. Rare and exotic, these delights are divine; fig leaves meet fashion beneath a jungle canopy where Seeds of Desire sprout. Discover Unknown Pleasures with lavishly lush Nail Lacquers and Mattene Lipsticks. Semi-matte lips get ultra-pure colour in a slinky, slither-smooth formula that feels as light on the lips as lust. Trespass tantalizingly with pearlized Paint Pots in shades that create seamless coverage while blending smoothly over lids. Indulge yourself with a plush, posh and provocative collection of hypnotic hues.

MAC's newest fall collection debuting on September 15th is full of deep, cool, lusty, Autumn colors. While I'm not the fondest of the lippy selections as I couldn't bring myself to donning purple lipstick. I am absolutely enamora with the paint pot shades. In the past I have found paint pots to be incredible as a base to building eyeshadow or even worn alone. These latest hues, can really compliment a well beat face. My most favorite are the various deep shades of purple, Genuine Treasure, Imaginary is a sexy twisted dream that i want to have every night and last but certainly not least Nubile, and peachy tan paint pot shade.

Rachel Zoe Debuts Fashion Line Fall 2011 Look Book

Rachel Zoe, released the look book for her new fall 2011 collection and describes the collection as, “uptown chic and downtown cool infused with Parisian elegance and London street style.” For Fall 2011, there will be 33 looks from the contemporary line. Retailers include Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom, and Intermix.

It seemed as though Rachel, knew people would be expecting her collection to be very simialar to her personal style, & wanted to veer away from that. & while there are some subtle hints of Zoe, its definaelty not would I would call her signature style. The unfortunate part for me about this is, myself as I'm sure many others love & admire Rachel Zoe for her signature personal style, the statement jewelry the huge sunnys the furs the hip nod to the 70's. & it made me ponder at what point to  draw the line of even cross it, in order to stay true to who you are or appeal to the masses.
Lets have a look, my "likes" appear in larger format;

I am sadly slightly disappointed, the collection so far is very warm and cold for me, due to high standard and great expectation I hold a stylist of her magnitude. Some pieces, I like and some I loathe, I was definitely expecting to "die", and surprisingly I am still hear and in good health. No dying a fashionable death or "couturchering" (I made that up, but you get my point). I found the designs I liked the most were similar to those of H&M and Zara, which wouldn't be such a determining admiration factor if she wasn't RACHEL ZOE supreme being to fashions most elite and well dressed glitterati.
