Love it to Death Daphne Guinness
Showcasing latest collaboration with renowned british jeweler, Shaun Leane who created dramatic baubles for the late Alexander McQueen runway shows and daphne Guinness was displayed as a couture corpse decked in gems atop a lucite box, as though she were levitating and surrounded by white candles. All taking place at the lavish townhouse belonging to Jay Jopling. Daphne was veiled while adorning one piece Alexander McQueen bodysuit. Showing off one of a kind gold and diamond glove, created using 5,000 pave white diamonds to create a flock of birds and branches on glove. Leana went on to say this was just the beginning of an ongoing collaboration between the duo and what made it even more special was that they started it when Isabella Blow was still alive. And then Lee [Alexander McQueen] was so inspired by it, he even wanted to make a dress for it.

Daphne Guinness in the Window of Barneys
I've been anticipating it for sometime now, and it has finally come and gone. Daphnes debut in the window followed by the MET costume ball. I managed to take my own photos of both events, however the pro photos are a thousand time better, and with much better detail, so lets have a look at the photos via Racked;
I promise without any bias, Daphne's was my favorite dress of the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala Benefit. For this particular event, I love to really see more costume like attire, still of course beautifully fashionable but with way more risk taken. As a muse to Alexander McQueen, Daphne for me, gave both drama and an over the top edgy costume like gown. More photos to follow all of the models, designers, and celebrities who came out in amazing outfits.

Change Clothes and Go-Daphne Guinness
The anticipation of the MET Ball, has my eyes darting back and fourth and my palms sweaty as i gather as many details and tidbits on who's who, who's wearing what, and who's arriving with what designer date on their arm.
Heres the most exciting update thus far, my number one fashion icon (whom I affectionately refer to as my fairy God mother) Daphne Guinness according to Racked will be dressing for the MET Ball in the Barney's window! Heres what racked reported;
"I am not doing a burlesque—no way," Guinness told the Times, sounding the way approximately 99% of people would if someone asked them to change their clothes in a department store window. "I’m going to be getting dressed behind something. I’m not Dita Von Teese, nor shall I be." The live display kicks off at 5pm next Monday, May 2.
I simply, cannot wait.
