Showcasing latest collaboration with renowned british jeweler, Shaun Leane who created dramatic baubles for the late Alexander McQueen runway shows and daphne Guinness was displayed as a couture corpse decked in gems atop a lucite box, as though she were levitating and surrounded by white candles. All taking place at the lavish townhouse belonging to Jay Jopling. Daphne was veiled while adorning one piece Alexander McQueen bodysuit. Showing off one of a kind gold and diamond glove, created using 5,000 pave white diamonds to create a flock of birds and branches on glove. Leana went on to say this was just the beginning of an ongoing collaboration between the duo and what made it even more special was that they started it when Isabella Blow was still alive. And then Lee [Alexander McQueen] was so inspired by it, he even wanted to make a dress for it.

TOM FORD Documentary
According to Racked.com Legendary American designer and director Tom Ford, filmed over the course of several months—spanning Ford's debut womenswear show in New York last fall through his guest-editorship of Vogue Paris before the departure of Carine Roitfeld and the opening of the Tom Ford flagship in Beverly Hills—is an unprecedented look behind-the-scenes at this ordinarily rather private designer—"You know I've never let anyone film me like this before," Ford tells the camera.
Because of my past reputation, there is enormous expectation of me designing a womenswear collection," he says. "I thought I should really push it [the expectation] down... You should do something first and then talk about. Rather than talk about something and then do it."
More than enough reason to watch.
Tom Ford premieres at 10 p.m. ET June 24th on OWN, the Oprah Winfrey Network.

McQueen of the Night
Bittersweet indeed, the Metropolitan Museum's Costume Institute Gala honoring the late Alexander McQueen and unveiling of Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty, an exhibition devoted to the British designer, brought out the who's who in fashion, design and Hollywood.
Having to be complete honest, I do feel there was a lack of McQueen designs featured on the stars at an event to honor him, and even some inappropriate choices. However,
adorned in everything from feathers to tulle, beading and silks, signature billowy dresses cut in hourglass silhouettes here were the McQueen looks at this years Gala that did the designer justice and embodied his unforgettable immense talent and created a picture perfect image of Savage Beauty ;
Daphne Guinness, in Alexander
Sarah Burton, in Alexander McQueen
Naomi Campbell, in Alexander McQueen
Karen Elson, in Alexander McQueen.
Tom Brady with Gisele Bündchen, in Alexander McQueen
Sarah Jessica Parker, in Alexander McQueen
Hamish Bowles, in Alexander McQueen.
Anna Dello Russo, in Alexander McQueen
Liu Wen, in Alexander McQueen; John Demsey; and Constance Jablonski, in Alexander McQueen.
Hilary Rhoda, in Alexander McQueen
Coco Rocha, in Alexander McQueen
Some of my most favorite looks of the evening, outside of the McQueen designs, were worn by Christina Ricci, Jennifer Lopez, and Crystal Renn.
Christina Ricci, in Zac Posen, with Fred Leighton jewels.
Jennifer Lopez, in Gucci, with H.Stern jewels.
Crystal Renn, in Zac Posen, with a Jimmy Choo clutch.
I would have guessed this was an event honoring Stella McCartney, considering the number of stars in the designers creation but I think this was the most of any years past and it really made you appreciate the designers versatility and talent incase you lived under a rock and hadn't noticed before.
The Fred Leighton showroom must have also been completely bare having bedazzled, most honorable guest this evening adding the right touch of sparkle to top off fabricated perfection.
Here are some other amazing looks of the evening;
Anna Wintour, in Chanel Haute Couture, with Bee Shaffer, in Balenciaga
Jay-Z; with Beyoncé, in Emilio Pucci.
Tom Ford
Liv Tyler, Marina Abramović, and Mariacarla Boscono, all in Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci, with the designer.
Blake Lively, in Chanel Haute Couture, with Karl Lagerfeld, in Tom Ford.
Natasha Poly, in Alexander Wang, with the designer.
Andre Leon Talley
Natalia Vodianova, in Valentino, with Valentino Garavani.
Ashley Olsen, in vintage Dior Couture
Tory Burch & Kanye West
Dee Hilfiger and Tommy Hilfiger, both in his designs.
Miranda Kerr, in Marchesa
Elle Fanning and Dakota Fanning, both in Valentino.
Mary J. Blige, in Gucci
Demi Moore, in Prabal Gurung
Joan Smalls, in Tom Ford
Rihanna, in Stella McCartney
"I get my ideas out of my dreams… if you’re lucky enough to use something you see in a dream, it is purely original. It’s not in the world — it’s in your head. I think that is amazing."

Tom Ford Spring 2011 Fashion Show
"When I went to bed that night, it was the first time ever in my life after a fashion show I went to bed and did not at all worry about the reviews. I felt really good"-Tom Ford
Back again after six years, and its just as seductive as the first time. Tom Fords, Spring 2011 show included 100 invited guest and 32 models (whom of which he'd chosen and designed each piece with them in mind) stomping the runway, where he introduced each by name and gave detailed description of each outfit. According to Harpers Bazaar, for added amusement, he catcalled a few of them, teased Eisner for walking too quickly, told model Joan Smalls she might have turned him straight, and then told Beyoncé she definitely did.
His inspiration from the show came form an episode of "I Love Lucy". In which Lucy wants Lucy wants a covetable Don Loper dress she can't afford. But lo and behold, Loper is doing a fashion show (which he narrates himself) and asks Lucy to model.
When Ford left womenswear in 2004, he vowed not to return until he thought he had something new to say. He said it, and Im speechless. Enjoy!
