Bliss Lau Kill Joy Vest

By Bliss Lau - Invariably seeking to blur the lines between the garment and accessory, Bliss Lau represents the juxtaposition of culture, design and aesthetic; half Chinese and half American. Bliss was raised in Honolulu, Hawaii and educated in New York City. Zoe Saldana Covers Harpers Bazaar July/August 2011

I've never wished I spoke Russian more, than right this very moment.  With upcoming movie "Colombiana"approaching on September 2nd, one of my favorite actress Zoe Saldana still found time to take over the July/August 2011 issue of Harper’s Bazaar’s Russian edition. Zoe's starlit looks, made up in a perfect shade of red lipstick and faint blue shadow. Her piercing eyes jump right off the page and come alive in a variety of layered knit wear styled by Natalia Alaverdian, photographed by Katie Bleacher and Dean Everard.

Love it to Death Daphne Guinness

Showcasing latest collaboration with renowned british jeweler, Shaun Leane who created dramatic baubles for the late Alexander McQueen runway shows and daphne Guinness was displayed as a couture corpse decked in gems atop a lucite box, as though she were levitating and surrounded by white candles. All taking place at the lavish townhouse belonging to Jay Jopling. Daphne was veiled while adorning one piece Alexander McQueen bodysuit. Showing off one of a kind gold and diamond glove, created using 5,000 pave white diamonds to create a flock of birds and branches on glove. Leana went on to say this was just the beginning of an ongoing collaboration between the duo and what made it even more special was that they started it when Isabella  Blow was still alive. And then Lee [Alexander McQueen] was so inspired by it, he even wanted to make a dress for it.

Mannequin Lusting* MD Studio

I was recently on the search for very unique bust and forms to shoot a few items for my website. I played with the idea, of spray painting forms, to handpainting, to calligraphic writing. Nothing really stuck out for me, and everything seemed to already have been utilized.

I came across this phenomenal company MD Studio that offered mannequins that were everything I was looking for but, could out a grasp around. These were high style and hardcore which isn't always an easy fete however this particular site managed to be edgy, modern, and sleek. Though I couldn't use these forms for my immediate project, you will definitely see them in projects to come.
