Monday Morning Head Games, Vogue Paris 90th Anniversary Ball
Last September, Vogue Paris celebrated its 90th anniversary at the Hotel Pozzo di Borgo, and hosted by Carine Roitfeld. The event of course was everything that you would dream and much much more. Filled with chic costumed and masked editors from all over, my most favorite photos however are those of Anna Dello Russo in her hotel room preparing to attend the masquerade ball.

Get the Look; Chanel Summer 2011 Chain Maxi Earrings
Back in January, I came across an amazing DIY featured on WHO WHAT WEAR which I posted here. One because it was Chanel, two because it was an easy inexpensive project, and three because this was an easily achieved kick ass runway to real way look and who doesn't love those.
Having had my share of D.I.Y gone terribly wrong, from cut out leggings, to blonde streaks, to bedazzling sweaters, I've had few tries and many fails. I wanted to give an alternate option for obtaining the Chanel S/S 2011 chain earrings look that didn't require spray paint and wire cutters in the event you are klutzy like me or just short on time.
Check variations of chained style below so you can get the look:

The Birth of Legends
Since childhood, I've long searched for a suitable birthday month to replace my high summer August. For me it just wasn't fun, not being able to show your special birthday outfit off to your friends during the school year.
I've long since adopted March, being iconically the birthday celebratory month for legendary icons who bathe in glitz glitter & glamour everyday of the year. Legendary artist, Diana Ross, Aretha Franklin and Sir Elton John all fall under the Zodiac sign of Aries. Diana Ross, March 26, Aretha Franklin, and Elton John both share March 25, Said to be adventurous and energetic pioneering and courageous enthusiastic and confident dynamic and quick-witted, it most evident in these legendary icons fashion choices through out the years.

"If it were not for the NAACP, a little girl like me would not have had wind beneath her wings in a small town in Ohio," she said after accepting the award from Prince.
'I have never been more proud to be a black woman.'

Rich and Rebellious Jewelry

About one year ago this week, Rich & Rebellious Jewelry was born. I began my journey to accessorize the world in large statement estate-like jewelry with affordable prices & exzubrant designs. It was important to me that every single piece was strong enough to stand on its own and when worn, the focus wasn't to be heard from across the room, but seen. Each bauble adding something special to the most glamorous of gowns, or the most simple of t-shirts the message is clear when wearing, a Rich & Rebellious piece; I am fearless, not afraid to have it all and become everything.
Today as I look back on this amazing path, how far the company has come, how its develpoed within a year & I wanted give you a real life look at some of the pieces & a little insight as to my thought process when choosing each hand picked piece & offering it to women of all fashions.
Along with help from my nearest and dearest Appollonia Mardez, join us to a place, where everyones a Queen, and every day is a holiday.
This is Alexandra necklace and earring team. I like to refer to sets as teams because someone once told me, a team is only as strong as its weakest player. I believe both pieces are equally as strong, worn together or separately you win.
I love this "team"because, i think the turquoise color is gorgeous and vibrant. I really like the chained together net like baubles. Its very dinner on the French Riviera after being kissed by the sun, island regal and can be dressed up or down.
The Ricky Leaf Necklace. The details are fantastic, I really like chunky necklaces, and leaf designs are a huge current trend. Though this is unique for me because of the horizontal design, of course the statement size, double chain another one of my favorites and also just the right amount of sparkle making it suitable for day or night.
"Le Serpent" Earrings. I have a thing for reptiles and these beautiful earrings feed the need. The sizing is perfect, for this design I believe anything smaller would loose the lovely detail and anything larger may become too gaudy. They remind me of a missing Cavalli link.
Leyla Flower Earrings. I chose these earrings, because while I am fond of turquoise and other jewel tone pieces, I love the intricate double flower design and the blue stones sprinkled through out.
Mariel Earrings. new for Spring and quite lovely, these Mariel earrings have a very heirloom-esk feel to them. Very delicate, and feminine in a soft pink with a hint of green and sparkle right around the edges. Keep these close by your heart and continue the tradition by passing them down to loved ones. They are that special.
"Nicholas" Flower Earrings. Gold Burnished Nicholas earring are large in impact but light in weight. Can be paired with a simple necklace or just worn alone, very artsy very dope.
"La Reine" Chandy Earrings. Queen for a day, these embellished flower earrings with bow detail are an alluring amber color that picks up in the light.
"Diamanta" Flower Earrings. Super sexy for your night out on the town, chandy chain components and glass like metal design looks great with up swept hair and glorious bracelet.
Holland Chained Necklace. Triple chain and full of pearls.
