+J Jil Sander for UNIQLO Spring/Summer 2011 Collection

Known for its trademark contemporary look, well-defined cuts and easy coordinates. Jil Sanders is a staple in the High Fashion industry and in 2009 announced the creation of her own fashion consultancy, and her employment by Uniqlo of Japan.

Hitting UNIQLO stores on January 26th, the Jil Sander creates the +J Spring/Summer collection 2011 collection. Turning to wide spaces and primordial color contrasts: chalky Sahara whites, taupe pillars of stone, boldly outlined by fiery red, sky blue, and elemental black. Buoyant shapes play with the breeze. Dresses look easy: meticulously fitted to invite free movement, Blouses are both, sporty and feminine, tops range from classic to Kaftan. Looks come together with weightless jackets in various styles and fabrics such as light wool, twill, and techno-taffeta. Pinstripe pants with jackets have been masterfully executed and reduced to their essence. Ultrathin sweaters and t-shirts give shape to the body.

+J the essence is purity. “A passport through time and space: sculptured lines, fluid grace, modern sophistication for everyone.” Consisting of approximately 150 elements, the +J Spring/Summer 2011 collection offers many possibilities to create an individual style: a personal uniform.

Khloe Kardashian Photo Spread YRB Magazine

Being a huge fan of the Kardashian empire, I was on edge with excitement, about the release of photos from the YRB Khole Kardashian spread. Though, these girls are sisters and look similar in appearance and have like minded style of dress. I've secretly been waiting for someone to stray from the crowd and do something totally different and unexpected, and who better than Khole! This was absolutely incredible shoot. The wardrobe choices were both high fashion and sexy, they complimented her shapely body and long legs and Khole, became something fierce in this shoot. Anyone could have put these clothes on, and had to step out of the box of their norm and have looked out of place. Khole however, looked right at home, and my soul thanks her.

Golden Globe 2011 Red Carpet Trend Report

Last night the 68th annual Golden Globe awards took place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in sunny Beverly Hills California.
While at every award show, there will always be some fashion hits and misses, I particularly enjoy the Golden Globes red carpet because it gives the stars an opportunity to be a little more playful and take some risk with their wardrobe selections while still giving head on glamour.
Every year, certain trends dominate the red carpet, and in years past we've seen grecian inspire gowns, ruffle hemlines and jewel tone ensembles set the award season tone. This year we take a look at what new red carpet trends are emerging. Have a look;

Floor length sleeved sequin gowns with a vintage feel.

Angelina Jolie in Versace.

Anne Hathaway in  Giorgio Armani Privé gown and ring from Van Cleef & Arpels. One of my favorites of the night.

Gabourey Sidibe Marc Bouwer dress and Martin Katz jewelry.

Sheer peek-a-boos and overlays

Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad

Jayma Mays, black Alberta Ferretti gown

Halle Berry lingerie-inspired Nina Ricci gown

Kaley Cuoco in champagne colored ruffle gown by Catherine Kidd, jewels by Chopard

Always classic and a staple at all award shows, neutral and stone colored gowns effortless and always flattering.

Vanessa William wearing a vintage pink sequined one shoulder Roberto Cavalli gown.

Scarlett Johansson in Elie Saab

Natalie Portman inViktor & Rolf gown

Leighton Meester Long-sleeved Burberry Gown

Julie Bowen in Tadashi Shoji

Sarah Hyland in vintage look Max Azria Atelier gown

Green with envy

Mila Kunis in Vera Wang

Elisabeth Moss custom Donna Karan gown

Catherine Zeta-Jones emerald green gathered Monique Lhuillier strapless gown

While most would save the best for last, my blown away favorite dress of the evening actually arrived first on E!'s red carpet. This phenomenal Marchesa gown worn by Olivia Wilde gives us a little of all the trends (floor length, jeweled and tulle overlay) of the night synthesized into one extraordinary chocolate gown and a surprise studded Christian Louboutin studded bootie. The epitome of Punk & Privilege.
