Anyhow, so many shows so little time. I decided to do this fashion week review a little different than I've done them in the past. Instead of having one singular post for each designer showcasing my favorite styles of their complete collection, I will compile them into one posting, that i will continuously update as the shows go on, giving you my most favorite look from my most favorite shows and a small briefing of what to expect, what to look for and how to prepare for this upcoming fall season. Shall we begin?
Hervé Léger by Max Azria
Unexpected and everything you'd imagine in signature Herve Leger style. Basket weaved skirts, and banded tops paired with go-go knee high boots A-line shapes and furturistic cut outs. Appreaing in creamy nuetral fall shades, including a warm carmel, pumpkin-y color.
Marchesa
"And I dont think youre beautiful, I think you're beyond it"
If ever there were a collection that made you feel as though, love could conquer all, this would be it. Filled with romantic drama, Marchesa collection included, Victorian inspired lace overlays and slightly destroyed silk tulle. "One dress had leather cut into lace, and on another the lace beading was inserted with wire and sat like fantastical metallic flowers on a bodice" according to Meenal Mistry. My heart ultimately stopped for the embroidered floral pattern in crystal, jet and seed pearls.
Jen Kao
This collection just made me smile, for everything as a child that caught my eye. It was a hodgepodge of, golds, electric colors, sparkles and fringe. Almost like being deep in a ocean surrounded by glo and zebra fish. I enjoyed the golden beaded tights for every look, sultry navy body suiting and fish net tops.
