Maison Martin Margiela

Lets Make Fantasy Reality........

Keeping with the fairy tale trend going in fashion, Prince Charming set the standard when he had Cinderlella's missing slipper. Being brought to life by none other than Maison Martin Margiela, the Brothers Grimm dreamy glass slipper has arrived. Taking the idea further, the designer sells these limited edition heels, not in pairs, but per piece. Beyond exclusivity, for the girl who has it all.

Betty La Fea Dice Adiós!

Though after seeing the original novela, Betty La fea I could never one hundred percent appreciate the english version. I missed more of the petty drama and scandal and the colorful daring latin wardrobe, that wouldn't fly in the states. The english version Ugly betty was originally a big hit, but more recently Entertainment Weekly reports that the current season will be its last.

Alexander Wang, Taking it to the Streets

The streets on New York will be invaded with A.Wang on Monday morning. In his first ad campaign EVER. "The images were originally only supposed to be posters we were going to send to editors and stores," Wang said according to WWD. "But I felt the energy was much more appropriate for something like guerrilla marketing than anything too proper or formal. Because T is really the core foundation of what Alexander Wang stands for, I thought it should be something that could be much more democratic." The monochrome ad campaign features Hannah Holman in my absolute favorite Wang tees which will also be available at Alexander.com on Monday. I will post photos from NY as soon as my first sighting!

grau wal.
eve cahill & anna rybakov.
grau wal was founded in 2009 by friends, eve cahill & anna rybakov.
originally from washington state, anna moved to new york in the winter of 2005 after receiving her b.s. in textile & apparel design from cornell university. eve, hailing from southern pennsylvania, joined anna in new york a year later, after completing the same program.
the collection started out as an accidental collaboration when the two started making bracelets and necklaces for themselves. the interest of friends & co-workers inspired the pair to launch the company in february 2009 made of brass and synthetic hair.

Jean Paul Gaultier & Target

Up next at Target will be Jean Paul Gaultier. Out of the last designer collaborations between, Alexander Mcqueen, Ana Sui, Rodarte and a sneak peek of the upcoming Zac Posen, Im really loving the direction of this collection. I love the  jackets, the gloves and the belted floral dress. Debuting on on March & 7th and available through April 11th. Previously designers are asked to choose a muse, inspiring the collection. Ana Sui, chose Gossip Girls, McQueen, Leila Moss and Gaultier chose the material girl herself Madonna. I am so R E A D Y.

Elisabetta! Elisabetta! Soy Italiana! Golden Globes Fashion Review

Its that time of year again, and award season continued last night with the 65th annual Golden Globes. Full of glitz and glam the red carpet was over flowing with this seasons hits miss, and nods to upcoming trends. Lets begin with my favorite looks of the night and continue to trend forecasting.

While for these ceremonies, Im am a huge fan of drama, dramatic, sparkly, flowing gowns with heavy beading I am also partial to sleek clean lines and avant garde modern looks. My most favorite look was worn by Kate Hudson. A Marchesa by Yuli white silk structured crepe gown. White platform shoes from Casadei, Stephen Russell jewels and glow courtesy of ARod.

Popular trends of the evening were, ruffles, metallic and jewel tones, shades of nudes peaches and blush and most popular purple.
