I love fashion with a message, and even more a line that gives back. In the recent "Got Snow"charity event held at Bowery Wine, in December AA partnered with Toys for Tots Foundation which donates toys to underprivileged children for Christmas. The event was a huge success with filled with fashion fun and tons of donations for the children and not without a message.
The American Apothecary team decorated the space by placing faux snow, that was cold to the touch, on round glass mirrors with rolled $50 bills that were branded as American Apothecary money. The rolled bills that were inserted into the mound of snow that was on the mirrors instructed guests to visit our web site American Apothecary to save 50% off of their current purchase. Stuffed bears with gauze wrapped around their head, insinuating that they had a toothache, also hung from the ceiling which played back to our “Cocaine” t-shirt that displays an ad from the early 1900’s when cocaine was widely used in children's toothache drops, due to its numbing effect.

Dear Ambassador; Blake Lively & Chanel

According to WWD Magazine, “Gossip Girl” star Blake Lively, 23, has been tapped as the official ambassador for Chanel’s new Mademoiselle handbag line and will appear in a campaign photographed by Karl Lagerfeld. The ads are slated to break in April magazines. 

Describing her love for the upcoming Mademoiselle handbag, as "a quilted case full of lipstick, love letters and the dreams and possibilities that I have always felt every time I see that beautiful ‘CC.’ ”First appearing in the cruise collection Saint-Tropez show,the new Mademoiselle will come in five sizes, each with Chanel’s iconic chain handle and quilted surface. A wide range of colors, finishes and materials are available, including jersey cloth, satin, calfskin, lambskin, alligator and shagreen and run you between $2,000-$3300.
 The ads featuring Blake, are set to release in April 2011. We are anxious as ever. 

Tom Ford Spring 2011 Fashion Show

Back again after six years, and its just as seductive as the first time. Tom Fords, Spring 2011 show included 100 invited guest and 32 models (whom of which he'd chosen and designed each piece with them in mind) stomping the runway, where he introduced each by name and gave detailed description of each outfit. According to Harpers Bazaar, for added amusement, he catcalled a few of them, teased Eisner for walking too quickly, told model Joan Smalls she might have turned him straight, and then told Beyoncé she definitely did.
His inspiration from the show came form an episode of "I Love Lucy". In which Lucy wants Lucy wants a covetable Don Loper dress she can't afford. But lo and behold, Loper is doing a fashion show (which he narrates himself) and asks Lucy to model.
When Ford left womenswear in 2004, he vowed not to return until he thought he had something new to say. He said it, and Im speechless. Enjoy!
