I was recently on the search for very unique bust and forms to shoot a few items for my website. I played with the idea, of spray painting forms, to handpainting, to calligraphic writing. Nothing really stuck out for me, and everything seemed to already have been utilized.
I came across this phenomenal company MD Studio that offered mannequins that were everything I was looking for but, could out a grasp around. These were high style and hardcore which isn't always an easy fete however this particular site managed to be edgy, modern, and sleek. Though I couldn't use these forms for my immediate project, you will definitely see them in projects to come.

"Yes Bitch We Did It" -CFDA Awards 2011
One of the big winners of the evening, Lady Gaga's response to a text message from The Anna Wintour informing her of the good news that she'd won the CFDA Fashion Icon Award. She among others such as Alexander Wang who was awarded Accessory Designer of the Year, Creative Director of Celine Phoebe Philo, International Award and Marc Jacobs accepted the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award, re-named the "Half-Lifetime Achievement Award."
My favorite award of the evening, the Media Award, received by the fashion director of Telegraph, Hilary Alexander. She accepted the award in honor of the entire British fashion industry and British fashion journalism. Paper magazine Editorial Director Mickey Boardman told HuffPost, "Hilary has such personality, she has such personal style and when someone has been involved in fashion as long as she has and they have such a point of view, it's hard to lose somebody like that. It takes a lifetime to build up that kind of knowledge and that kind of point of view. Plus, she's just fun, although I wish she would quit smoking because it's just bad for her ... You know, she's a real writer, she's not someone who's like, 'Oh, I love fashion, oh, I want to get into the Alexander Wang sample sale.' She goes to all of the shows. She writes about designers who aren't necessarily 'the hot designer,' but she writes about what she thinks should be written about. So she's a real journalist. She's not just a fashion journalist, she's a journalist."
Inspired much?

My fans, some of them don't know who they are and they have so much trouble. They come to the Monster Ball to find who they are and they wake up in the morning and it's that leather jacket that makes them feel like they can be anyone. Or it's that YSL blazer that they saw in the window that makes them feel like they could be president one day. Fashion means so much to them. It's really hard to talk about ... I always felt like I had made it before I had made it because of all of you, because it was all of you that made me feel like I was a star."

MTV Movie Awards 2011 Red Carpet
The MTV Movie Awards happened this weekend in Los Angeles. I enjoy the red carpet fashion at this particular award show every year because its young and light and fresh. Less pressure then say, the Oscars. Everyone puts on something cute and just goes with the flow, the MTV Movie Awards are all about having a great time. Fashion trends of the evening including graphic print rompers, animal prints and short tight sparkly mini dresses. Here were some of my favorites;
Jessica Szohr in alice + olivia, Elle Fanning in Dolce & Gabbana, Ashley Benson in Matthew Williamson.
