The Garden Collection by H&M

                                                          

Inspired by "70s hippie chic flower-power, chlorophyll-green gardens, and sun drenched landscapes" H&M's Garden collection is everything you would expect in Spring 2010. Beautifully crafted flower print airy dresses. Organic frilly flowing tops and my favorite of the collection, pure red structured bolero jacket and banded mini dress with flowered detail at the lower half, featured in a soft nude and the pure red which seems to be how the line is identified. The most interesting detail about the line is that sustainable materials or recycled PET bottles or textile waste were used, in the production. What a way to go green gorgeous! Below are my most favorite pieces of the collection and more detail about the elements used...

As if I needed another reason not to entertain strangers and passers-by while stumbling though the rough concrete streets of New York in anything over two inches.  I present to you the late Alexander McQueen X Puma.

The metaphoric concept of 'Power' is the DNA of the new collection. Physical and mental power exist at the very core of sport, and the collection strives to interpret and convey it in innovative and unexpected ways. With 'Power' as a constant reference, each season's collection will also have a specific seasonal theme related to sport. The Autumn/Winter 2009 seasonal theme is boxing – a sport with power at its essence, referenced in style, color and material applications. The concept of 'Power' is represented by 'Crane vs. Tiger', the new iconic brand image created by fashion photographer Nick Knight and Alexander McQueen.

Better Late than Bare Faced *MAC TOO FABULOUS*

Mac recently launched "Too Fabulous" a new collection for Spring. Included in the collection are six shades of mineralize blush ($23), nine shades of creme sheen glass($18) (now permanent) and six shades of lip pencils($13).

I am a huge fan of mineralize blush, they add color as well as a shimmer effect. Shimmer not glitter, which is important to me for daytime wear. I am very happy with these soft subtle colors, though all are beautiful here are my most favorite of the collection ; MAC Rhapsody in Two Mineralize Blush Duo, paired with MAC Two Virtues Mineralize Blush, and MAC Partial to Pink Cremesheen Glass. I was given Partial to Pink Cremesheen for my birthday last year and was happy to find that Cremesheen's are now permanent! 

Here is a rundown of all the products featured which can be worn lightly or layered for a more dramatic effect. Because of this the colors are flattering for an array of complexions and are very fresh and youthful just in time for the change of season.
