Name Your Price Mr. Bond Akillis Jewelry
Look for Less *J.CREW X F21
J.CREW is one of my favorite places to purchase jewelry, I am just crazy about the necklaces! The responsible frugelista in me knows that it can get pricey. So before I put out the cash, I shop around for a similar item when applicable. Recently I came across a great Splurge vs. Steal.
Here we have Splurge from J.CREW. The lovely Super Nova necklace, described as an explosion of sparkle. 18k and 12k gold plated brass with hand set glass stones. Available for $128.00, not bad.

And now for the steal, Forever 21 offers a similar necklace the rhinestone Grace necklace described as lavish display of rhinestones set gracefully within these sliding structures with a subtle color detail for $7.80. I will say, I saw the below necklace in person yesterday and its actually quite lovely.
Fit or Fat, take your pick!

Marchesa Fall 2010 Star Power
Marchesa Fall 2010, leaves nothing to be desired. Beautifully tailored tuxedo jackets over the knee boots, and rows of ruffles are just a sample of all they have to offer for next season. Signature gowns, reinvented with a shorter hem, lacked length but not details. Gathered tulle, draped silk, lace overlays, and star hints gave Marchesa's Fall collection a fresh breath of cool crisp fall air.

Bess NYC
Over the summer, I took on some DIY projects that were mostly compiled of adding grommets and studs, to a finished pair of black leggings and a half finished Karl Lagerfeld blazer. Why only half finished you ask? Because my poor fingers bled! Once I acquire the knowledge to stud properly, I will stud everything from gloves, to boots, to black cigarette pants, but honestly who has the time? So that is the problem, now here is the solution!
Bess NYC, is my new favorite shop. Located in New York City at 292 Lafayette Street is grommet grunge heaven Take a look at their 2009 lookbook and imagine the possibilities.

J.Crew Carrington Crystal Bow Necklace
I was head over heels in love when first laying eyes on this incredible necklace. I always mention the mixing of hard a soft elements and this necklace gives it to you hard with chains but softens it with ribbons. Featured on the cover of Glamour magazine, being sported by our very elegant very classy very stylish first lady, I've known about this amazing piece for some time now but couldn't post about it until it was paid for a safely packaged and being shipped by the lovely employees of J.CREW. This necklace will cost you about $300, I know I know, it made me raise my eyebrows up to my hairline as well but here are the details of it...
"A stunning statement piece, designed in collaboration with NYC-Based (and press darling Fenton-Fallon. Crafted from exquisite Swarovski crystals and Czech stones (each one is individually set by hand on a tumbled mix of chains) and carefully finished with 100 percent silk, hand-dyed and tied ribbons that match the stones' brilliant palette. The essence of tough chic meets uptown glamour-this is thenecklace everyone else will covet. Gold and copper ox-plated brass chains with ahnd set cubic zirconium, Swarovski crystals and Czech stones (antique gold) or hand set glass. Lobster clasp"
Boy do they know how to sell it, and yes Im buying it! Photos to follow.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York Hervé Léger Fall 2010
While keeping with the idea of the signature bandage dress, Hervé Léger took an already perfected idea and expanded. Putting a sporty twist on the Fall 2010 collection adding, mesh ribbons and of course, major banding in shades of nudes, as well as ink splashes. But, my most favorite element of the collection were the neoprane jackets and skinny legging like pants, which wearing I'm sure would be the equivalent to waking up with a rock star! To absolutely live for!

“I see the idea of detachment, of taking something apart and using pieces in unexpected ways, as anoher exploration of the beauty of imperfection,” -Anna Larson
On Wednesday, February 10th, I witnessed black magic. Anna Larson, proved in Erro's Fall 2010 collection, that Black is and will always be, the new Black. Constructing the looks, with the idea of detachment in mind, an assortment of layered black fabrics were used to create this sleek cougar-esk collection. Each piece strong enough to work alone but, versatile enough to be layered and built into a more intricate look. Comprised of everything from fur, to knits, leggings and shoulder pads, the collection was very New York, very sophisticated, and very sexy. Vampy without dreary, black without boring, think exclusive modern goth with gladiator appeal and raven characteristics. Take a look
